What data we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us through our contact form and our free-audit form. This includes:
- Your name and business name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (optional)
- Your website address (where relevant)
- The details of your enquiry or message
We do not ask for any special category data, and you should not send us sensitive personal information through these forms.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also use Google Analytics to collect aggregated, anonymous usage data about how visitors interact with the site (such as pages viewed and general location). This is optional and only happens with your consent — see our Cookie Policy.
How and why we use your data
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, to prepare quotes and free website audits, and to carry out any work you go on to ask us to do. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing purposes.
Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases for processing your data:
- Legitimate interests — so we can reply to your enquiry and run our business.
- Taking steps to enter into a contract — where you ask us for a quote, audit or project and we need your details to provide it.
- Consent — for optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics), which only run if you accept them via our cookie banner.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of trusted suppliers to run our website and email. These act as our data processors and only handle your data on our instructions:
- Our email provider (Spacemail / Spaceship), which delivers and stores the messages you send us.
- Our website hosting provider (Coolify, running on a UK or EU server), which hosts this website.
- Google (Google Analytics), which processes aggregated, anonymised usage statistics — only if you consent to analytics cookies.
How long we keep your data
We keep your information only for as long as we need it to handle your enquiry and any resulting work. Once it is no longer needed, we delete it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access)
- Ask us to correct data that is wrong (rectification)
- Ask us to delete your data (erasure)
- Ask us to restrict how we use your data (restriction)
- Object to us using your data (objection)
- Ask us to transfer your data to you or another provider (portability)
To exercise any of these rights, please email us at [email protected]. There is normally no charge, and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
We hope to resolve any concern you have directly, so please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
